
Laura Bennet has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Health Sciences from The College of St. Scholastica (CSS) and an Associate of Arts in Massage Therapy from Duluth Business University. She is a Certified Prevention Professional. She was involved in Students Against Destructive Decisions throughout high school and college. As a student at CSS, Laura was the Alcohol and Other Drug Education Coordinator for three years. One of Laura’s favorite parts of her job is working with all of the amazing people in Northeast MN to build and sustain prevention efforts.
Laura has served as the Regional ATOD Prevention Coordinator in Northeast MN since March 2007.
The Region 2 - Northeast MN ATOD Prevention Center is located at the Carlton-Cook-Lake-St Louis Community Health Board in Duluth. The Carlton-Cook-Lake-St Louis Community Health Board (CHB) was established in 1977 under a joint powers agreement between the counties of Carlton, Cook, Lake and St. Louis. Its primary purpose is to oversee and administer public health programs in the four counties. The CHB focus is: identifying local needs and working with the four counties to address those needs and providing advocacy on behalf of the region. http://www.communityhealthboard.org
