Cindy has served in the Prevention Field for over 20 years. For the past 6 years, she has worked for the Southeastern Minnesota 11 county region in the area of alcohol, tobacco ad other drug prevention/reduction. This is through the Minnesota Department of Human Services-Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division. She is located at the Parenting Resource Center in Austin, MN.

Freeborn County Social Host Ordinance
This is the process that Freeborn County went through to pass their SHO

The communities of Faribault, Northfield, Goodhue and the counties of Rice & Goodhue have all passed a Social Host ordinance.

Model Curriculums in
Region 6
Project Northland is currently being taught in the schools in Mower and Freeborn County as well as a Faribault Choice School and will be taught in St. Charles and Dover-Eyota Schools this upcoming Fall, 2011.

The Rice County coalition is working toward supporting the implementation of evidence-based curricula.  Currently Bethlehem Academy is using Life Skills Training (for Middle School students), Northfield High School and ArtTech (Northfield) are using Toward No Drug Abuse and the Cannon River STEM School is using Project Northland
