2011 Human and Economic Cost of Alcohol Use in Minnesota
This report estimates that alcohol cost Minnesota about $5.06 billion dollars in 2007 which is the most recent year all the data are available. When the cost is divided by the Minnesota census estimates for that year it comes to a cost of $975 per person. The report also determined the cost is about 17 times the amount of tax revenue the state took in from alcohol sales that same year.Visit the MDH Alcohol and Other Drugs website
